Legal Working Group meets at ElringKlinger

After 3 years of purely virtual meetings of the AAMPACT Legal Working Group, it was time again for a face-to-face meeting on June, 21st. At the invitation of Christopher Müller-Dahl, Head of the Legal Department at ElringKlinger AG, the working group members had been invited to Dettingen/Erms. The participants present on site and a colleague online had an intensive exchange about the current legal topics in the aftermarket.

Keywords here are the current Supply Chain Act, disruptions in the supply chains, changes to the definition of material defects according to §434 since 2022 and its effects on the independent aftermarket, with regard to subjective, objective and assembly requirements.

Further points of discussion were the current status of the Block Exemption Regulation from 2023 and the current implementation of the European Packaging Regulation in Italy and France.

The event was rounded off by a company presentation by Christopher Müller-Dahl, in which he impressively demonstrated the technological change in the product range of ElringKlinger AG, from the combustion engine to electromobility, using clear product samples.

Many thanks to all participants for their active participation and especially to the ElringKlinger team for their hospitality and excellent organisation.

The next meeting of the Legal Working Group is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 June 2023 and we look forward to being invited to one of our member companies.
