The “Mechanic Games” at Automechanika 2020

This year’s Automechanika Frankfurt takes place from September 8th to 12th and opens its doors for about 140.000 visitors from all over the world. Whilst the trade fair becomes more and more international, less people from Germany tend to go there.

It seems that domestic workshops, foremen and mechanics are seen less and less at the stands of the major automotive parts manufacturers. Each year there are slightly fewer workshops coming to Automechanika. But there are still 50.000 visitors from the workshop sector. These are mainly to be found in the halls with the tools, diagnostic and workshop equipment in the western section.

The “Mechanic Games” have two important approaches: Creating original and fun competitions involving car parts from well-known supplier brands and sports competition, which requires strength, skill and speed. The games take place in the lightweight hall on the AGORA and lure with attractive cash prizes.

The visitors will be lead from the western section of the exhibition grounds to the AGORA in the eastern section, where the part manufacturers have their stands. AGORA also hosts the big e-mobility event on it´s area.
Additionally, through good communication in advance, we want to attract even more visitors to the Frankfurt show.

This year 17 AAMPACT member companies participate in the “Mechanic Games”. The individual stations and preliminary planning were already discussed in detail on February 13th in Frankfurt at the project group meeting.
A few impressions from the “Mechanic Games” 2018 can be found here.

The last details will be talked over in the final project group meeting on June 16th before we can say “Let the games begin!” on September 8th.

AAMPACT can be found at three different locations at Automechanika Frankfurt: At the “Mechanic Games” on the Agora, in the foyer of Hall 4.1 at the “Messe Frankfurt against Copying” stand and just a few steps further at 4.1Foy05 with our branch initiatives “Qualität ist Mehrwert” and “mein-autolexikon.de”.
